Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process took almost 3 months, which is quite long considering sales professionals have quotas to hit monthly. It started with a recruiter call, followed by a technical screen. The final stage involved a presentation using an app on your phone, which could be challenging due to technical issues like needing to mirror your phone for Apple or Android devices. It might be better to have candidates present in person. The interview process seemed to have a bias towards startup backgrounds rather than experienced sales professionals. Compensation was discussed and seemed a bit low, although some incentives were offered by the VP of Sales. This role might be more suitable for a junior representative rather than someone with extensive experience in major, enterprise, or national accounts.

Behavioral Presentation

The whole interview process took less than two weeks from the first contact to my offer acceptance. It was really efficient for everyone involved. It started with a call from the VP of Sales, and then I had calls with two Regional Managers later that week. I actually met one of the Regional Managers in person at their Nashville office. The next week, I talked to both the CEO and CTO on the phone, which was great. The day after that was the final part. I had a virtual meeting with a bunch of people from different teams at Wonolo – like talent acquisition, finance, market strategy, and data science. This gave me a good feel for the company culture. Right after that group meeting, I had to do a demo of an app I like for some sales team members in both SF and Nashville. They had mentioned this presentation would be early on. Even though it was a lot, I got an offer that same evening. It was a thorough process, but it helped me a lot. I got all my questions answered, and I felt really good about joining Wonolo without any doubts.

Overall, it was a GREAT experience, dare I say Fun?! From the first conversation to the last, everyone I interacted with was super knowledgeable and genuinely interested in me as a person. The first few interactions were general questions: why I wanted to join Wonolo, my thoughts on the company, and a bit about my background and experience. Then, there was an on-site App presentation with a Q&A session. The last two interviews involved a team of current employees for a culture-based assessment and a final chat with the CEO. The whole thing wrapped up in about two weeks before I got the offer. The mission and the infectious value of the culture and finding the right fit really sold me on Wonolo!
