I went through a few interviews with folks from different departments like tech and product. It was a good chance for me to share my experience and also learn about how they operate. Everyone was really nice, and we had some good technical discussions. It seems like a really cool team.

Recruiter reached out to me about a Jr. Web Dev position, but when the interview was finalized, the role changed to Full Stack PHP Developer. Spoke with the recruiter about my resume and skills, then was called in for an on-site interview. Had an on-site video conference interview with the tech lead at another office, going through my resume/skills. Then an in-person interview with two of the devs in the New York office (skills/previous experience/projects). All three interviewers seemed disinterested, like they didn't want to be there, and that they had already made up their minds about their hiring decision.

I had a great phone screening and then an in-person interview the next week with two people from the team. The first interview was really good and engaging, but the second one was awful and totally unprofessional. I've had many interviews and never had one this bad. The interviewer was 15 minutes late and just walked in and mumbled 'Hi.' You could tell they had no clue how to interview creatives. I had to deal with it, though. They cut me off while I was showing my portfolio, handed back my iPad like it was toxic, and had a mean scowl the whole time, with just a fake smile. It felt super rushed, and it was obvious they didn't want to be there. Their tone was condescending, and they asked questions in a way to try and trip me up. Seriously unprofessional. I had to hold my tongue so many times because of how nasty they were. It totally killed the vibe. Just meeting that one person made me not want to work there, which is a bummer because they do great work. If people like that are working there, who knows what else is going on.

A recruiter reached out on a platform. The first call with the tech director was good. Then I went in for an on-site interview with three people: two developers and a tech lead. They seemed friendly but unprepared, like they didn't review my resume. The questions were standard and experience-based. After the interview, things went south. I sent a thank you email, but heard nothing for weeks. Eventually, my recruiter told me they chose someone else. It felt disrespectful of my time and their lack of communication was rude.
