Back Operation Support
The HR/interviewer was really nice and made me feel comfortable, not stressed at all. They listened well, explained the role clearly, and went into detail about the job responsibilities. They made sure I was okay by talking to me a lot and answering all my questions. They built a good connection to help me feel less nervous. The interview felt like a team effort, where I got info and they seemed to care about what I needed.
- Could you describe your responsibilities in your previous role?
Account Executive
I showed my interest to the hiring manager on LinkedIn and they passed my resume to the recruiter. I had an initial talk with the internal recruiter, then I sent a follow-up email with additional questions and got a reply after 5 days. In the same week, I sent two more follow-up emails but got no response at all, and I've been ghosted since. A simple rejection email would be appreciated, especially in sales and service, as this kind of hiring process really shows the company's true colors.
- Can you describe your sales background?
- What strategies do you use for acquiring new clients?
Client Success Manager
The interview process with Toast was smooth and well-organized. I went through several rounds, including initial screenings, technical assessments, and in-depth discussions about my experience and how it aligns with the role. The communication throughout the process was excellent; the recruiters and interviewers were responsive, informative, and professional. Despite this positive experience, I was surprised when I didn't receive an offer. I felt that the interviews went well, and the feedback I received during the process was encouraging. While I can't pinpoint exactly where things went wrong, I suspect there might have been some misalignment or a change in priorities on the hiring manager's end. I remain confident in my skills and experience, and I believe that not moving forward with my application is their loss. I am ready to take my expertise and passion to a company that recognizes and values my contributions.

Software Engineer
The initial contact was a recruiter call, which was fine but didn't offer much beyond the job description. Then I had a screening with someone who seemed junior to mid-level. They weren't great at explaining their tech choices, like why they build things in-house instead of using existing solutions, especially since off-the-shelf tech could probably do the job just as well, cheaper and with less risk. It felt like there might be a lack of strong engineering leadership and organization, with a flat structure that might be a bit too unstructured. The 30-minute screening felt rushed, making it hard to understand the role and how my experience fits. I was hoping for someone more senior from engineering who could have pitched the company better, discussed potential improvements, and valued my background. Instead, it felt like they just needed someone to fill a spot. They didn't seem concerned about the learning curve for their chosen language or how my diverse experience could speed things up. Real engineering leadership usually asks these kinds of questions. The next steps involve two coding sessions and a system design round. I decided not to proceed because it didn't seem like a good fit. On a positive note, everyone I spoke with was pleasant.
- Could you describe a project you recently completed?
