First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wonder.
Senior Mechanical Engineer
It was a 4-part interview process. Started with an intro phone call, then a phone chat with an engineer. After that, I had a take-home design task, followed by an in-person interview with a group of engineers, and then a second design challenge. The whole thing spanned 8 weeks.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Growth Team Member
First there was a screen call, then I met with the hiring manager. After that came a big project with a few days turnaround time. If I passed that, I met with team members, some from my group and some from others. Finally, I had a last interview with the hiring manager's boss.

Regional Manager
Started with a phone interview, then a zoom interview with a regional manager. The third round was an in person interview in Manhattan, which I paid for myself ($300). I was told I’d hear back in 48 hours but had to follow up a week later to learn they chose someone else. My third interviewer barely acknowledged my 2+ hour travel. The whole experience was rushed, and they didn't even have the courtesy to reach out.
- Could you tell me about yourself and your history?
Leadership
The recruiter reached out to me directly and pinged me multiple times before I responded. On the day of the phone interview, the recruiter called late via a mobile phone. It was obvious the recruiter wasn't close to the phone and was doing something else. The conversation was very choppy because I couldn't hear half of the things the recruiter said. The conversation was pretty painful and the recuriter ended by promising to get back to me in a few days. Never did! What a horribly unprofessional experience. If the recruiters are this bad and unprofessional on a leadership search, I can only imagine how poorly managed is this company.
