I went through a campus technical test first, and then an interview. The interview was pretty easy to crack, with basic QA questions.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through a full-time interview process that took over 45 days and had 3 rounds. The first two rounds were good, with the hiring manager and a panel of managers/directors being professional and respectful. But the last round with the VP was totally different. The VP was unprofessional and not engaged. I tried to start a good conversation, but there was no response. The meeting was supposed to be 30 minutes, but it ended in 20 minutes, and there were no real questions. It seemed like the VP had already picked someone else. This made me feel bad and like I wasn't valued. This kind of behavior from a senior person is bad for the company and makes the earlier rounds seem pointless. People put a lot of time into interviews, and it's disappointing when the decision-makers aren't fair or professional. The company should make sure all interviewers, especially senior ones, treat candidates well and evaluate them fairly. My advice to management is to train senior leaders to be open-minded and professional in interviews, making sure candidates are judged on what they can do and how they engage, not on pre-decided outcomes.

Behavioral Technical

Recruiter mentioned that the interview would be cut short if I wasn't a fit. The interview itself lasted 3 hours and involved 5 people, including a VP and the hiring manager. I was asked repetitive questions about personality and situations in different ways. Although the position was for manual testing, they started asking about development. I felt I was a good fit for the position, and the process was completed, but as a manual tester, I wouldn't know development. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone to waste their time; they give positive feedback but don't hire. A 3-hour interview for a manual role?
