First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WithMe.
Business Development Representative
There were at least four interviews with WithMe. I thought all four went well. I also had to put together a slide presentation about their products, and the hiring manager said he really liked it. I was surprised not to get the job, because the reasons they gave didn't make sense and wouldn't stop me from doing the job. Oh well, lesson learned.
- Can you share an instance when you had a disagreement with your supervisor?
Customer Service Representative
I didn't get past the recruiter phone call, and it was really unhelpful. The recruiter didn't describe the job or what the day-to-day would be like, which made it hard to answer questions effectively for this specific company versus another. I've never had a recruiter who wouldn't share details about the role, the company, or its background. I wouldn't have gone to another interview even if they offered.
- How do you figure out which tasks are the most urgent?
Client Success Manager
The interview process started great! The initial screen was done by the recruiter, who explained everything and was very excited, promoting the company and even sending medical benefit info. The second interview was with the hiring manager and seemed to go well. The next set was four culture interviews, which also went well. We are now at the 6th 'final' interview, which at this point, I should’ve seen the red flags. This final interview was with the hiring manager, where I presented a mock, that was recorded since the CEO couldn’t make it. Once this wrapped, the hiring manager said the next step would be references. I then heard from the recruiter to give FIVE references, which I did after giving all of mine a heads up. Here’s where things took a turn and where it made me realize this process was unprofessional and quite frankly rude. I sent my references on Friday and was ghosted for almost a whole week. I then see the position I’m interviewing for get re-posted. I inquire with both recruiters, one ghosted me, the other took awhile to respond. Finally I get a response that the hiring manager will reach out. Then the next day, a generic rejection email from the hiring manager. I definitely felt led on and who knows, maybe they are recording interviews to gain ideas. It was disappointing and poorly handled. They should make decisions more timely and not lead you to think things are going great, especially to ask for references, which by the way were never contacted. Everyone’s time is valuable and to stall considering 5+ interviews, prep, etc. is a broken process.
- Give a mock presentation to upsell and cross-sell.
- Outline an onboarding plan for the first 30 days.
- Conduct a mock 1:1 with a direct report who has declining performance.
Director of Demand Generation
The interview process was challenging but fair. It started with a recruitment screening and a short personality assessment. Then, there were interviews with key department leaders, followed by a practical exercise focused on thought process and frameworks. This is pretty standard for marketing roles, emphasizing practical knowledge and systems thinking about integrating marketing into the organization to achieve company goals. The company really values specific personality and cultural aspects to ensure cohesion, and this positive focus came through a lot in the interviews. It felt very open, diverse, and inclusive, unlike many "techy/startup" interviews I've encountered.
- How would you approach building a demand generation function from the ground up?
