First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, inc..

It started with a phone call with a recruiter from corporate, then a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, I had to submit a writing sample. The next step was a half-day visit to the office where I had interviews with my potential superiors (which included some technical questions to check my expertise and how I communicate) and also with my peers to see if I would be a good cultural fit. This was followed by a lunch presentation, and then finally we got to the offer negotiation part.

It involved a few steps: first a video call with some of the team, then coming into the office for one-on-one chats and more group chats. The interviews felt pretty relaxed and just like talking to people. Really professional but not scary at all.
- What's your strategy for handling an overload of tasks when time is tight?

It was a phone interview with an HR rep who asked about my resume and some technical stuff they didn't get. They were pretty neutral. The rep said the company is unorganized and I might not fit since I like having clear rules. They didn't know the safety record, which is concerning for a job involving heights. The team structure was unclear, just that I'd report to one person and work with another. The rep seemed to be filling time reading known info about facilities. They also asked about my current employer's benefits, which felt irrelevant. I didn't get a good vibe and felt it was a waste of time. I might hear back by Friday since the hiring manager is traveling.
- Can you explain what certain things on your resume refer to?
- Could you tell me about the benefits package at your current job?
- What led you to attend college at ___?
