First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wise.
Data Analyst
It was a pretty smooth process. Started with a take-home test, then an HR screen, and after that, there were two panel interviews with the team. The interviews were friendly from start to finish, and I got feedback and prompt responses from HR. The questions were pretty standard for an HR screen, SQL, and Python, nothing too hard.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Do you have experience with dbt?
- Can you tell me about your experience with Airflow?
Data Analyst
First, a recruiter chat about salary, career growth, and important skills. Then, the hiring manager will chat about the role in a casual way. After that, there's a technical test on core skills. Product managers will ask technical questions about prioritization and teamwork. Finally, a skip-level manager interview to assess personality fit.
- What are your thoughts on Wise's mission and ethos?
Data Analyst
I had a recruiter chat, then a hiring manager chat, and then I did a case study. The case study was pretty cool, but it was confusing what they wanted. They said to keep it under two hours, but then they wanted a script, a presentation, and answers to really detailed questions and estimations. The feedback I got wasn't totally fair, some of the stuff they said was wrong was actually right and they just missed it. Also, I didn't get to present my work in person, which was a bit of a bummer because I thought it was pretty good.
