So I applied with my resume and cover letter, and then they called me to set up a phone interview. It was with 5 people and only 10 minutes long, which felt a bit short to really get a sense of things, but it was just an initial screening. I didn't get further, but the hiring manager called me personally to let me know I wouldn't be moving forward because they were looking for candidates with more experience. They thanked me for applying and interviewing. It was super professional, honestly, the best I've experienced with a potential employer. I can't even be mad about not getting the job because they were so respectful.

It was a quick 20-minute chat, pretty chill and laid-back, but they still got all the info they needed. It was just me and the hiring manager who needed two interns for this role. I didn't feel any pressure at all. I actually left feeling excited about the opportunity because they really sold it as a valuable learning experience, which it totally was.
