After submitting my resume and cover letter, I heard back about a week and a half later to schedule an interview. The interview was about 30 minutes long. They asked me about my background and why I was interested in the Senator, then had me draft a quick tweet about some legislation.

It was a very traditional interview process. There was a written test involved. I met with supervisors and potential teammates, which was helpful. However, like in other interviews, when you meet with your potential teammates, they often give the impression that you can ask anything, but I doubt that's really the case.
