It was pretty easy, and the interviewer was personable. They really look for people with experience or a background in training. Basically, they'll go over your resume and ask you questions based on that. You also have to lead the employee through a workout. It was straightforward if you've trained before or have at least a year of experience.

You can either mail in your application to the general address or drop it off at the specific club you're applying at. It was a pretty simple application. About three weeks passed before I heard anything back from them. I had already accepted another job before they even got back to me.

First interview was with the head of personal training for all clubs. We talked about my past experience and then I had to create a workout for a made-up client in about 10 minutes. The second interview was with the training manager for the specific club. It was pretty standard interview questions. The third interview was basically an audition where I had to lead two other trainers through their own workouts.

I had a few conversations with different people about the job. We talked about my background as a trainer and my certifications. It was pretty standard, honestly. They didn't ask me to demonstrate a workout, but they did give me some situations to talk through.
