First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Winnie Couture.
Stylist
They ask you about a bunch of different scenarios that reminded me of Say Yes To The Dress. They will ask you to describe a gown in your own words. I thought it was weird, but they asked to hear my best Disney Princess voice and then will take a photo of you.
- How would you describe this gown to a bride over the phone?
Sales Consultant
The interview process was amazing, fun, and very informative. They are dedicated to building a strong team and put in time and effort. It involved teamwork, training, observing, shadowing, and helping with appointments. It was engaging and smart, and I learned a lot.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
Bridal Stylist
I saw their job posting online and called the store. They emailed me an application to fill out in Excel. A few days later, I got an interview. When I applied, they asked for a photo, which I thought was weird, but I guess they want their sales people to look good. I was annoyed because the interviewer seemed unprepared. She asked me to fill out an application that I had already done online. Even after I told her, she still made me fill it out. After a few minutes, they found my application online. She probably didn't look at my info before I got there. The interview was really average and in the middle of the store. The interviewer read questions from a list. At the end, she took my picture. I told her I already sent one, but she insisted. She didn't give me time for questions. I only got to ask one before someone walked in, maybe a customer or another candidate. After a couple of weeks of calling and emailing, I never got a clear answer about my application status. I feel like I deserved better, even if they didn't pick me.

Bridal Stylist
The process was quick with responsive communication via text and email. After filling out an application, I visited the store multiple times and spoke with the manager. Each time I was told they would contact me, but I heard nothing. After applying online and answering a few questions, I created a video of a hypothetical bridal sale. I then reached the final step and waited for a week.
