I had my first interview over the phone, it was a screen that took about 30 minutes. Then I had a second interview that was about an hour long over video call. The interviewers were nice and made the job sound really good. They were clear about what the job entails and the career path.

I was supposed to have a virtual interview. I logged on and waited and then about 5 minutes after it was to start, the guy called me and said he doesn't need to see me to determine if he likes me for the job or not. He then says he has to call me back in a minute. It only got weirder after that. This guy loves to hear himself talk. The interview was a little over an hour and I am not exaggerating when I say I only spoke for 6-8 minutes. I couldn't wait for it to be over because I knew I couldn't work for him. Just for context here, this is the only time I have ever posted something about an interview. I felt obligated to let others know, including the owners of Window Nation.

I had a phone chat with a recruiter, then I had to complete a skills evaluation. After that, I had a video interview with the manager, and then a video interview with the regional manager. The first few were fine, but the final interview was really weird. The person I spoke with at the end contradicted themselves a lot and even bad-mouthed the manager I just spoke to. It was also strange how they acted like we were old friends, which was super off-putting. Knowing that the higher-ups might be manipulative is a big red flag for me, so I'd avoid this place.

Had a good chat with a recruiter who then set up the next interview. Then I spoke with someone from a marketing agency they work with in CA, which was a bit strange. This person seemed unprepared, reading questions off a screen very close to their face, with lots of "ums" and "uhs." I thought I did okay, but later got feedback that I was perceived as "too cool for school." It seems like this position is always open, which might point to high turnover or them being overly selective. Strange situation.
