Got approached by a recruiter on Linkedin, and they helped set up an in-person interview. The interview process itself was a little unusual. I was led to a room that seemed like a storage space and given a 20-minute written psychometric test. During the test, two technicians came in to do some repairs, which was pretty distracting. Two managers conducted the interview. One manager was nice and explained things about the company, but the other was kind of cold. The overall vibe felt a bit off to me.

My interview was in 2020 for a role in Auckland. The recruiter was late and very unorganised, even taking personal phone calls during our chat. She asked me for proof of my current salary and when I planned to start a family, which felt like a red flag. While she said many great things about the company, she also mentioned things she didn't agree with. She couldn't answer many of my questions and dismissed some as unimportant, making her seem like a poor representative for the company. Thankfully, the sales manager was much better when he arrived for the interview. He was engaging and answered all my questions thoroughly. If I had only dealt with the recruiter, I wouldn't have accepted the role. I'm grateful to the sales manager for his professionalism.

I got contacted after applying on Indeed and they set up an interview for me at their place near LAX. It was three separate 30-minute chats with the Technical Support Manager, Sales Manager, and the company's General Counsel. They hit me with basic behavior questions and ones about my past experience. Then, a few days later, they had me come back in to do an attention-to-detail test. I asked the HR person when I'd hear back and they said within a week, but I never heard anything, even after I tried to follow up. Honestly, they could have been more professional and just let me know they weren't going with me after having me come out there twice.
