A recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn and asked for my resume. I had an interview with the hiring manager within a week. The interview was late at night since the team works the graveyard shift. At the end of the hour-long interview, the hiring manager told me that they were looking for someone with more project management experience, so I didn't make the cut. I appreciated the direct feedback and that they treated me with respect, unlike other recruiters who ghosted me.

I was a 12 month contractor for this role. The interview process with the agency was pretty straightforward and thorough. The interview process with the actual client, though, was a whole other story - it was super tedious, intimidating, and took forever. And then, the client ended up laying me off without any warning after just 4 months, replacing my role with someone from India, right before the holidays.

Wimmer posted this job on Seattle's Digital Eve, a high tech dist list. I was contacted by a recruiter at Concur and went to Bellevue to screen with her. She referred me in another interview with the manager at Concur. I then traveled to Bellevue again to interview with him and was then told by Wimmer that he wished to hire me for this part time contract. I spent two entire days online, filling out Wimmers extensive digital paperwork. No pay of course for this of course. Finally I got to start.

It was super straightforward. I chatted with 3 people over the course of a week, and they moved pretty quickly to a decision. All the conversations were really relaxed, not pushy at all. We were all on the same page – they needed to hire someone, and I was looking for my next gig.
