The interview process was professional, with clear communication about job responsibilities and expectations. Initially, I had an in-person meeting with the store manager, who seemed very passionate about the role and her position. She answered all my questions, and I could reach her by phone or email for any further inquiries. The next step was a more formal, in-person meeting with the district manager, which seemed to be a final confirmation of the store manager's hiring recommendation.

I went to the in person interview and then had to wait around to talk to the store manager. She mentioned that over 30 people applied for the role and it was obvious she didn't care about my experience. It felt like she had made assumptions about me and then dismissed me when I didn't fit them. The job listing has been reposted multiple times since it was posted 5 months ago, which shows a lack of competence.

I was contacted by the District Manager and asked if I'd be interested in learning about opportunities at west elm. Following that, I was invited in for an interview with the District Manager, the General Manager, and another General Manager from a different store. Later, I had a phone interview with a different District Manager. By the end of the week, I received an offer.
