The interview process was long and involved many rounds, with over 7 meetings. There was also a multi-hour take-home exam and a live technical interview. Scheduling was really disorganized from their side, and they weren't clear about what to expect in future interviews, so the live technical interview was a surprise. When I asked about workplace culture, they indicated that WS expects a lot of overtime and that employees are workaholics. The questions were of average difficulty, but the process itself was very drawn out. I was rejected without any feedback, which felt like a major waste of time. Luckily, I already had another job offer.

The interview process was smooth. A recruiter reached out, passed my resume to a couple of job openings, and set up some interviews. The first one was online, and the second was in person with two directors. Everyone was really nice, but don't be fooled. The questions weren't unusual, but the lack of follow-up after the interview is shocking. As a candidate putting in time, you'd expect some basic decency. Like many others, there are lots of qualified people, but too many jobs are unfilled. If you're looking for honesty, don't count on it. Being ignored seems to be the new standard, and it's likely permanent. That's just how it went for me.

The project manager I worked for was really impressed when I showed her examples of how I could visualize data with graphs and charts. A lot of the managers have some basic experience with technical programs, so if you're good at Excel or you know SQL, you'll definitely make a good impression! The next manager is looking for someone who can take direction well and doesn't question her authority. She wants things done her way, even if it's not the most logical way. But that's fine, she's the one paying!
