Had a quick chat with HR and then a 45-minute call with the hiring manager. Both were pretty chill and casual. They asked stuff typical for an acquisitions editor. The hiring manager was pretty upfront about the job's difficulties.

Started with a standard intro, asking about my background and editing experience. The technical part of the interview went well. Then they read personality and company fit questions from a list, which were really repetitive and pointless.

I had a phone screen with HR and then a phone interview with the hiring manager. They both knew their stuff about the company and the job. It seemed like things were going well and I was hopeful, but then I found out I didn't get the job. No one told me why or gave any feedback, which was a bummer and not helpful. I did like how fast it all happened though. The recruiter got back to me fast, gave good timelines, and was nice to talk to.
