The initial interview process seemed straightforward. HR reached out quickly the day after I applied, as they needed someone for a short-term contract. I then interviewed with a producer and department head, which went well enough, and I had relevant experience to start immediately. Despite being told I would hear back quickly due to the fast timeline, I never received a response. Follow-ups went unanswered. This level of communication, or lack thereof is highly unprofessional and frustrating. If this is indicative of how the studio handles communication internally, it’s a serious red flag. While the interviews themselves were fine, the ghosting and disregard for candidates’ time left a very negative impression. The initial strong impression was completely undermined by being ghosted, turning what started out promising into a negative experience. Brutal.

The hiring process was super smooth from beginning to end. Everybody I talked to was great – friendly, professional, and upfront about everything. It kicked off with a quick chat with a recruiter, then I had three interviews that were really well laid out, plus an assignment to do. They kept me in the loop about what to expect at each stage, and I felt like they really valued my time and were super organized about it all.

Had a phone call with HR where we talked about my background and experience for the role, my education, what I know about the company, my visa status and salary expectations. They also asked if I could commute to the office a few days a week.

The interview process was upfront and easy to follow. The Director was quite genial and candid about the job's duties and the obstacles ahead. We had a very open and relaxed chat, and I felt I'd get along well with her. Even though I had another job offer and didn't go further, it felt like it dragged on. This was the second stage, and there were supposed to be two more spread out over weeks, so the timing wouldn't have worked for me.
