It was a really in-depth interview, about 35 minutes long. I had to wait around for 10 minutes after I got there before anyone greeted me. It just wasn't my kind of place.
- How would you go about upselling products?
Sales Associate
The interview process was pretty basic once it actually happened. Getting in touch with the talent acquisition rep was a whole other story though. I applied and heard back pretty fast to schedule an interview. I tried calling and emailing them, but no response. I followed up a week later with another email and voicemail. They finally got back to me the next day and we set a time. I showed up for the interview and waited 30 minutes, but they never appeared. They emailed later saying they could do it the next day. We agreed on a time for the following Monday instead. That time came and went with another no-show after I waited 30 minutes. Then an email arrived with an apology and an excuse, promising a call soon. That call did happen and it was alright, just some simple questions. After looking into it, I found out the Talent Acquisition Representative is a junior in college. Maybe that's why things weren't a priority? It was really unprofessional.
- Are you seeking full-time or part-time employment?
- What are your salary expectations?
Vice President of Retail Operations
Went through two rounds of interviews. Was told after second interview that they would be in touch once the next round started. Waited four weeks and then was told my background didn't translate to their business. I would have understood that after the second interview, but to wait that long was pretty frustrating.
- Can you discuss your past experiences and share your vision for the future of this company?
Senior Vice President Operations
The interviewer was not ready for our conversation, which made it quite challenging. I felt like I had to lead the discussion and keep things moving. I was actually told beforehand this might happen, but it was still tough to maintain a flow.
- Can you share an example of a time when...?

“There didn't seem to be a strict interview process, more of a casual get-to-know-you chat, so I'm not sure how they decided on the next steps.”
