Software Engineer
The process took some time: there was 1 recruiter call, then a panel interview with 3 people (including the hiring manager), followed by another panel of multiple people (7 people in total). It was fine, the interview was okay, though some interviewers were not prepared. There was a LONG WAITING TIME TO HEAR BACK but they were honest about the hiring decision.

Data Coordinator
First, I had a phone screening with a recruiter. Then, I had to complete an application and an assessment. The recruiter told me the assessment would determine if I moved on, and they contacted me again to say I would be moving forward. After that, I had a phone interview with two of the hiring managers, which went well. Finally, there was a 2-hour Zoom interview with HR, the hiring managers, the team, and the director. The interview itself wasn't too hard, but I'm an introvert and don't interview well, which is a shame because I test well, work hard, and have a great work ethic. I tend to choke during interviews no matter how much I prepare. So, the process overall went smoothly, but I didn't get an offer, which is understandable. Everyone was really nice, and I learned a lot about the company and the team.

I sent in my resume online and heard back in about a week to schedule a phone screen with the recruiter. It was about 30-45 minutes and we talked about salary, my commute, what I'm looking for, and my experience. Then, I had to do a timed assessment from a third party that tested my thinking and problem-solving skills, which wasn't too tough. I also filled out the job application. The next interview was another phone call, this time with the hiring manager, for about 30 minutes. We went over some hypothetical situations and delved deeper into my experience. I also asked them some technical questions about the job, the team, and their future plans and challenges. The last interview was in-person and lasted around 3 hours. It was a really nice, informative, and relaxed meeting. I met with a group of people from HR and the department, both managers and non-managers. The place was modern and clean, and the front desk people were great. They asked me technical questions about the role and personal questions about my accomplishments and hobbies. Everyone was happy to answer my questions about the job, the company, the team, and their own experiences there. Some interviewers had a lot of technical questions, while others seemed more interested in chatting and answering my questions. It was good to meet different people. I felt it was a good fit and got an offer the very next day!
- They asked technical questions related to the job and personality questions like what my achievements are and what I enjoy doing in my free time.
- Everyone was willing to answer my questions about the role, the company, the team, and their likes/dislikes about working there.
- Some of the interviewers presented a lengthy list of technical questions, while others were more focused on responding to my inquiries and engaging in a casual conversation.

The initial contact was with a recruiter, followed by a timed online aptitude/association test requiring quick responses. Passing this test led to a callback from the recruiter to schedule an interview. Wiland requested the interview on very short notice, perhaps only a day or two in advance. I had to skip class and work to attend. Upon arrival, I was 10 minutes early, but the office was empty, and there was no clear indication of the correct location. Eventually, someone arrived and I was allowed in to wait for the HR person. My first impression of the office was negative, with unappealing green industrial carpeting, second-hand furniture, and wasps buzzing inside. I was told this was common and that several people had been stung, with no concern shown or questions about allergies. During the three separate interviews, the sound of at least one wasp continued overhead in the crowded conference room while I answered questions about my technical background and career aspirations. After the interviews, a different HR person asked if I had questions. I inquired about a timeline, and she stated they would contact me within two weeks. They did not. Meanwhile, I interviewed with other companies, two of which were considerate enough to take me to lunch after their half-day interviews. Wiland eventually extended an offer, but I had already accepted two other offers that were each $10,000 higher and had met their stated timelines. Wiland matched the other offers, but I declined.
