I was emailed to set up a time for the interview and they gave me information about Wikimedia, including a video. The questions were standard competency-based questions. I was told the process would have many stages with different people like the VP, team members, and hiring manager. The interview went well, and I thought I'd move on, but I didn't hear back. After I followed up, I got a generic rejection email with no feedback.

Behavioral Technical Case

The process was pretty organized and scheduling went smoothly. The recruiter knew their stuff, was upfront, and helpful. On the downside, it was a bit slow overall. I had an interview with a technical manager, not my actual hiring manager, and it was kinda rough. The questions were vague, and it felt like there was only one right answer they were looking for. If you didn't get their specific answer, it seemed like you were out. At one point, the interviewer couldn't even answer their own question and just went off on tangents instead of clarifying, which felt unprofessional. Honestly, it felt like there was some internal politics or power struggles, not a focus on teamwork.

Behavioral

The whole interview thing took a bit longer than usual, but they were upfront about how it would go from the start. HR was really professional, kept in touch regularly, promised to follow up and always did, and kept checking in on where things stood. Everybody was super friendly and welcoming, asked good questions, and it was a good experience overall.
