I went to headquarters for an in-person interview. I met with HR and my direct manager. It was about 30 minutes and gave me a good sense of what they're looking for and the company vibe.

The HR person wasn't very technical even though the job required it. They invited me for another round and gave good feedback, but then I never heard back about whether I got the job. They really pushed to know my salary expectations, and when I told them, they asked if I could accept less.

I was quickly offered an interview appointment. The conversation itself lasted about 1 hour. I was asked questions about my professional background and my personality and how I envisioned the daily work. I was then told quite a bit about Wiener Städtische and how it works at the beginning and during the training. If the application interview was positive, you also get an invitation for a 2nd meeting in an Assessment Center. It was a very nice and thorough application interview where you could tell they really wanted to get to know the potential future employees. I was very happy to have had such a nice interview with a pleasant atmosphere!

We had an in-person meeting first, then an online test. It's a standard process that applicants are familiar with. Overall it was okay, although a bit time-consuming and, in my opinion, overly complicated and unnecessary for candidates with many years of professional experience.
