Whova Content Marketer Interview Questions
& Process

This was one of the worst job interviews I've ever had. They belittled me, didn't even care to ask about relevant experience, they were very invasive, and overall, very disrespectful. I don't even understand why they took the time to interview me when the interviewer laughed in my face so many times throughout the process. It's one thing to think I'm not a good fit, which is understandable! It's another to disrespect and invalidate my livelihood, my career, and personal life that has nothing to do with the job.

I did a lot of content creation for Whova, like writing samples, topic ideas, and outlines. I had two virtual interviews before coming in person. During the in-person interview, I had to write a blog post in a Google Doc while someone watched me. They also unexpectedly gave me a paper test about the company's history and then critiqued my answers about things like the founding year and founder's name, which felt irrelevant and odd. Even after that, they wanted to proceed, but I withdrew when they asked me to plan an event using their software. I did that, but then they wanted more hours, and I couldn't commit more time to what seemed like a peculiar team, so I declined.

So I had 3 rounds of interviews with Whova, and also a take-home test before getting an offer. The whole experience was really good. The first interview was about my past work and some behavioral stuff. Then they gave me a take-home test and explained why they do it, which I thought was cool. It was a good way for me to learn more about the industry and show off my writing skills. The next two interviews were deeper dives into my writing skills and my understanding of customers and products. I had previous work experience before Whova, and compared to other places, Whova's process was more professional and efficient. I've been ghosted by a tech company before, which was terrible, but Whova communicated clearly and respectfully the whole time, which I appreciated.
