First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wholesome Goods.
Content Writer
The interview process was pretty relaxed and simple. They gave me a project at the end to help them decide. It included a screening, a virtual chat with HR, and a final meeting with the department Director and the HR Director.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
Graphic Designer
The interview process involved a phone screen, a tour, and then a follow-up interview. The final stage was a "design assessment," which essentially required designing something using their existing brands. I found this to be unpaid work, which crossed a line for me. The people were friendly, but the overall interview process felt quite generic and stale. The whole thing took about a month.
- How would you handle a client insisting on using Comic Sans, and how would you communicate your thoughts on that font choice?
- Can you describe the most challenging design task you've encountered?
Content Writer
I applied online and then the Content Manager reached out about a week later for an interview. I talked with her, the COO, the Graphic Design Manager, and the HR Director. I got the job offer a few days after that!
- What do you like about writing?
Graphic Designer
Applied about a month ago and then got a call for a phone interview. Spoke with Alma (COO) briefly about the company and position, and it sounded really good. Then went to the office for an in-person interview with Alma and Mark (Manager of Social Creative). They were both great and friendly, so the interview was chill. Showed them my portfolio and we talked about it. It went really well. Got a call the next week saying I got the job!
- Do you envision yourself working here?
