First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at White House Black Market.
Sales Associate
It was a really easy process. The hiring manager just had me do the application and then we had a face-to-face interview. She asked me stuff about my teamwork experience.
- Can you share your most recent team collaboration experience?
Sales Associate
It was okay. The manager was nice. They asked typical interview questions like what's your desired salary, what's your experience, and what training you've had. I'd say for this interview, just use your resume as your guide.
- Do you have experience in [fashion] retail?
Sales Associate
The interview process wasn't the usual "Tell me about yourself" questions. The manager was more focused on my personality than my qualifications. The process itself was fine but the waiting was a bit of a waste of time because I waited a week and a half for them to tell me they needed someone with full-time hours when I applied for a part-time position. And I told the manager before the interview started that I was a college student and needed part-time course until December. It would be my last semester at my university. But if she wanted a full-time associate, she should have told me from the beginning, better yet...she shouldn't have given the interview with me at all. That was the main reason why she didn't hire me. Basically, don't waste your time applying here if you are a student or you want part-time hours. They will need you when they need you.
