It was a pretty standard interview process, they asked about my hours and my temperament. It was really simple, and the interviewer was nice. I feel like I had an advantage because my friend recommended me for the job.

I learned basic teamwork and customer service skills working in a fast-paced environment with several crew members. My main tasks included food prep, cashier duties, and cleaning various areas like the lobby, restrooms, and parking lot. My colleagues and managers were great. We managed to keep a smooth customer flow and a clean workspace through teamwork, even during peak hours. The best part of the job was making customers happy with great service.

For White Castle, you begin by applying online and finishing a 40 minute online questionnaire. Submit it, then wait for them to contact you. I met with both GMs (there were 2 at the time) and they talked with me, inquiring about my past jobs, my transportation situation, and my availability for work hours (whether rotating, fixed, full-time, part-time, etc.). I'm not entirely certain how interviews are conducted these days; it really varies depending on the interviewer you encounter. Some GMs can be quite lax and just do a quick review, making their decision based on that. Alternatively, you might get a GM like mine, who will essentially test you by posing 'out-of-the-ballpark' questions. Usually, after speaking with the GM, you'll be given a pre-hire assessment (which is the identical questionnaire you completed online). They will then contact you based on your performance and how your interview went.

So first, there's this 3-part application: the application itself, then an assessment, and a wotc questionnaire. About 3 weeks after that, I got a call to come in. I showed up 15 minutes early, waited a bit, and then sat down with the hiring manager for about 20 minutes.
