Customer Service Representative
It was a great interview experience! The interviewer made me feel comfortable right away. The whole process was very friendly and easy, although it was quite long, it was definitely worth it. They asked the typical questions and I got to ask mine. I was given a lot of details about the job, pay, potential bonus, benefits, working hours, and more. I felt really welcome and I'm excited to start working for such an excellent company.
- Can you share an instance of your greatest accomplishment?
Customer Service Representative
The hiring process was pretty straightforward. I was hired through a contracting agency. They basically just wanted to make sure I understood what customer service entails. They asked about my past customer service experience and previous roles. They also asked a variety of questions focused on getting examples of how I've handled difficult customer escalations while still being professional and providing good customer service.
- Have you had experience in a role with a high volume of calls?
- What does customer service mean to you?
- Can you describe how you handle difficult customer interactions?
Customer Service Representative
A recruiter from the staffing agency that works with Whirlpool called me first. She asked if I could pass a drug test, some personality questions, and then what time I could come in the next day for the interview. So I went in the next day. I was greeted in the lobby and asked to follow to a conference room. She asked me about my previous customer service experience, to name one instance where I went over and beyond what the previous customer service job entailed, what my average personality is like, and if I can become easily frustrated. Then she re-iterated the importance of passing the drug test, and because I had a late interview I would have to take the drug test the following day. Afterwards I was led to a cubicle for a mock field test. I had a sheet of information to look over, with responses and technical information on an appliance. The interviewer then called me through the telephone pretending to be an angry customer and I had to weigh my options while staying calm and nice. I started laughing at one point and she took it very seriously. She later told me I did a decent job and not to worry about the laughing after I apologized for it. The next day I drove to a pharmacy where I picked up a kit from the employer for the drug test. Then drove to a hospital 20 minutes away from the employer to have it administered. A standard urine test administered by a doctor and shipped to a lab.
- Can you share an example of when you exceeded expectations in a prior customer service role?
- What draws you to a career in customer service?
