First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wheeler Clinic.
Human Resources Generalist
It was a casual interview, mostly standard STAR questions. For this role, make sure to have examples of when you used your HR experience and mention the systems you worked with.
- How do you manage when you have a lot of tasks to do?
- Can you give some examples of when you used your HR experience?
- Which HR systems have you used before?
Benefits Manager
I had a phone interview and they said they'd move me to the next step which was a Zoom interview. They told me it would be the next Tuesday and that I'd get a call to confirm. But that Tuesday came and went with no confirmation call or anything. Then I got a rejection email three days after the scheduled interview. It was quite a surprise. I thought this company was professional up until that point. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for success.
- Can you describe your experience with Leaves of Absence?
Clinician
interviews can vary, sometimes 2-3 rounds depending on the position. it's really important to prepare ahead of time because they often ask about the program details. you might not hear back for a week or two, but most of the time they get back to you when they say they will.
- Why are you seeking a new opportunity?
- Describe your understanding of this program.
- Can you share your relevant past medical history?
Special Education Paraprofessional
You'll have a one-on-one meeting with an education coordinator right in their school office. They'll ask you some regular questions, nothing tricky, and then show you around the school. If they think you're a good fit, they'll ask you to come back for a trial in a classroom.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a crisis situation and explain your approach?
- Could you tell me about the age groups or populations you have prior experience working with?
- What specific skills do you have that you believe would be valuable in this position?
