Full Stack Developer
The process started with a recruiter screener call, they seemed to know a lot about the company and pitched it well, also explaining the rest of the interview loop. Then I had a technical chat about my experience with the hiring manager, who was very friendly. After that, I did a technical round with two developers who were also really nice and patient, and we had a good back-and-forth during the challenge. Even though my skills weren't the right fit for this specific role, everyone I met was pleasant and communicated well.

Director of Customer Support
I was reached out to by a Greg T. from their HR team via email for this position. It was titled “(my name) -- Lead Customer Support @ Wheel!” I set up a time with this person via their Calendly link in the email. We arranged for a 45 minute introductory call. The process was described to me like this - Intro call, Interview with hiring manager, Working interview with support team, Final interview with leadership. I only got to the intro call and was promised that I’d have a follow up that same day. It’s been about 3 weeks and I have to assume that Greg has essentially ghosted me, despite telling me I could call/text/email for updates. I reviewed their LinkedIn profile and their careers page, but there was no Director of Customer Support position advertised anywhere. So, I am stuck wondering if they just like wasting other peoples time.

Director
The whole thing took about 3 months and involved 10 conversations plus a project presentation. It was drawn out because the recruiter got sick, they were unsure who would be interviewing, and then the hiring manager was laid off. Plus, they had some timezone mix-ups. It finally got to the last person, who was supposed to be a casual meet and greet, but this person came off arrogant and insecure and really grilled me. It felt like the team was disorganized, which made me wonder about the company too. Since I was pretty happy in my current role, it was more of an annoyance. I really hope they don't treat other candidates like this. Be cautious and trust your gut.
