Canoeing Instructor
First, we'll have a casual chat to get to know each other. Then, there's a more in-depth interview where we'll discuss what it's like working here. Lastly, we'll have a formal interview for the specific position. All interviews will be held online.
- What makes you want to join our team?
Designer
I sent in my resume and website portfolio and then HR called me for a phone interview. The interviewer was late, but we had a good rapport. The marketing department seemed to be in flux, so their needs weren't totally clear. I think I was overqualified, but I was willing to take a lower role because of my current life situation. I'm writing this review because they never got back to me, even after I emailed and called politely asking for an update on whether the position was filled and where I stood. During the interview, she really liked my portfolio and thought I could be a good fit. They ask about faith and integrity. I'm disappointed because while they say they value faith and integrity, their actions didn't reflect that. They should have at least let me know they weren't interested.
- Are you able to commit to a 2-year period?
Dean
The interview process felt like overkill. It was a two-day event where I met with every department and department partners. I even had an interview with the President of the College. I wasn't a fan of the format, talking to at least 50 people, each with a different opinion, and constantly being compared to the person currently in the role. It also seemed like some panel members misunderstood my knowledge or doubted my ability to connect with academically gifted students.
- What are some books you enjoy reading?
Office Coordinator
The interview process involved an initial HR interview followed by a department-specific interview. The experience was positive, and they were accommodating with scheduling. The questions weren't overly challenging compared to typical corporate roles. It was a fairly standard and quick process once the interview began, although it took about a month from applying to hear back.
- Would you consider yourself detail-oriented?
