I had an initial phone interview, followed by an in-person meeting with HR and the previous EA. The HR meeting was brief, with the former EA providing a more detailed overview of the role and her experience. During this time, I noticed the team was quite young, and I felt I might not be the right fit due to age diversity. I also got the impression the role required someone adaptable to the direct report's specific needs. Salary and hiring timelines were unclear from the start. After about two weeks of no contact, I reached out, and HR called to inform me they had chosen another candidate. I appreciated the direct communication and the respect shown to candidates, even though I later realized the company culture might not have been ideal for me personally. They did offer closure, which was good.

It was a really professional process, right on schedule. The interviewers were friendly and made sure I wasn't feeling too nervous. I even met with some senior management who were really open about the challenges but also did a great job selling the role. The recruiting team set up the day perfectly and kept checking in. They sent the offer out fast, and HR followed up quickly for onboarding. So far, it's been a really positive experience.

I found out about this HR job through a network and applied. Almost immediately, I got an email to set up a phone chat. We did that the next day, and then they invited me for an in-person interview the week after. Before the interview, they sent me an email with all the details like what time to be there, what to bring, and how to get to the building and where to park. When I got there, the receptionist was super nice, offered to sort out my parking, and asked if I wanted a drink. In the interview, I met with my potential boss and some other team folks. It was good to get a feel for who I'd be working with and the company vibe. The questions were more about my emotional intelligence than just asking about my past jobs. The whole thing lasted about 2 hours. They sent a follow-up email the day after. The process took a bit longer than they planned because someone on the team was sick, but they kept me updated on where things stood and when they expected to decide. Overall, it was a really professional and smooth interview process, and I liked that they kept me in the loop!

The interview went very well, I had all the qualifications and conversation went very smoothly. Disappointed to never hear back from them, would have been nice to at least get a decline email.
