I had a virtual chat with a Senior Project Manager. We went over the job details and what the role entails. Then we talked about my previous work history and what I'm hoping to find in a new job. We also touched upon my past salary and benefits.

I was contacted by a recruiter, but there was a waiting period of a few months before the company reached out. Things moved quickly once the interviews began. I met with my supervisor and we talked about the company's services, my previous work, and why I wanted to join. Then, I was given an unexpected exam on engineering basics. I got a job offer later that week.

This experience was very disappointing. I went through 2 interviews, each lasting about 3 hours. Although they initially suggested an offer with a salary, they did not follow through. My attempts to contact management after the interviews for salary discussions were met with no response, despite their promise to keep in touch. The interviews covered academic concepts I haven't used in years. I believe entry-level offers should focus more on learning ability than past knowledge, as career growth depends on continuous learning. It felt very unprofessional to waste my time and not even discuss salary as promised. This left me disappointed and uninterested.

This was a very anxious and frustrating process. I wish I could have known more about it beforehand. I think it's best to try and take it easy and treat it like a normal conversation. Overall, everything was great.
