Case Presentation

I was given an assignment that required upgrading their existing system. For this, I prepared a Product Requirements Document (PRD) along with revenue and impact metrics pdf, and a low-fidelity design pdf for this new feature. This new feature was a complex feature in addition to what current app offers, and it took a significant amount of my time. However, the interviewer expected me to provide a detailed wireframe in Figma (Isn't this a graphic designer's work) When I read interview experience from past candidates who mentioned that the interview process seemed geared toward gathering free ideas to reduce the company’s workload, I got its complete understanding. I felt like free work was being done from candidates. It’s worth noting that they removed the job posting within two days of posting.

The interview process began with a comprehensive, unpaid assignment that involved creating wireframes and detailed documentation, which directly addressed the company's current business challenges. This was followed by a superficial interview where no substantial questions were asked. The recruiter became unresponsive after the assignment was submitted, and the job listing disappeared from their website. The entire process extended over a month, culminating in a rejection with a vague reason provided more than 10 days later. I regret investing my time and effort into this unpaid work.

There was an initial phone interview. The entire process was really well organized. The interview itself was very professional and straight to the point. The interviewer gave an honest presentation about the position, which helped me understand the daily tasks and consider if the role was a good fit. The questions focused on my previous experience, specifically asking about things I've done that would show my experience and how I can do the job.
