Trade Specialist
I went through about 3 to 4 phone interviews with employees. It started with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, the person currently in the role, and then the Chief Fiduciary Officer. They were pretty basic interviews, mostly asking about me, my experience, my resume, and telling me about the role and how I would fit. After all those interviews, it was down to me and a few other candidates. I was told I'd hear back within a few days or by the end of the week at the latest. But I never heard back from anyone about the role. Nobody reached out to let me know they picked someone else or to offer me the position. After going through so many interviews and spending my own time with them, it was really disappointing for it to end like that. I wouldn't recommend applying to Westwood after my experience.

I applied online and heard back a few days later for an interview. I met with two managers and a director, and they were all really nice. The hiring manager ended up calling me to say I didn't get the job, but that my qualifications were impressive and they went with someone else.

Weird interview process. I had a phone interview first, and then was immediately asked to come in the very next day. I had little to no expectation of what would happen next. When I got there, it was a 5 hour interview process with 4 different people from my potential team and HR. It was somewhat unorganized, and it was pretty clear the interviewer wasn't sure about the duties of the prospective role. Red flag. After a long afternoon, I knew it wasn't a good fit. I didn't follow up on purpose, and they never contacted me either. My impression is that this place has a very corporate culture with older professionals. If you're a millennial, you might want to look elsewhere.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What do you consider your weaknesses?

The process was pretty laid-back and the interviewer was easy to connect with. I felt really at ease the whole time and they were super helpful in answering my questions with great responses. I got a good sense of the company and it seems like a solid place to work if you've got the right qualifications.
