First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westpoint Software Solutions.
Junior Developer
First you do a technical test on the job link (simple questions of already known algorithms and data structures). If you pass the first test, you go through a more personal interview and another technical one with questions asked by the interviewer. The last stage is talking to one of the company's CEOs (All stages are in English, including conversations in the interviews).
- Tell me about how React.memo worked, and what's the difference between map and foreach?
Data Analyst
Fernanda from Recruitment first reached out, giving me a brief overview of the role and inquiring about my background in data analysis and visualization. Following that, I had a discussion with a team lead where we went over my past projects, my proficiency with tools like Excel and Power BI, and how I leverage data insights for decision-making. Overall, the interview experience was straightforward, respectful, and well-organized.
- What is your approach when faced with data of poor quality?
- Do you have experience working with dashboards?
- How do you manage your workload and prioritize when you have multiple reports to complete?
Software Engineer
The process was pretty smooth, actually. It began with an initial chat with Lucas from HR, where he talked about the role and asked about my backend development background. After that, I had a technical interview with a senior engineer, focusing mainly on system design and some problem-solving tasks. Everyone was really laid-back and approachable, which made it less nerve-wracking than I thought it would be.
- How would you architect a system capable of managing simultaneous image uploads from millions of users?
- Can you describe your method for troubleshooting issues in a live production environment?
Frontend Web Developer
It took about 3 weeks for them to get back to me after I applied. The interview was with someone in leadership, not HR. The person started off asking what seemed like HR questions, then asked if I knew React and asked a few questions about it. After that, they switched to asking about other technologies not mentioned in the job posting, even though the posting said you could learn React and it wasn't a strict requirement.
- Can you tell me who you live with?
- Are you currently single?
- What is the occupation of your parents?
