Implementation Analyst
The interview process was easy, with no technical questions. It was all behavioral and culture fit questions. There was only one round, and then they made an offer.
- Tell me about yourself
- How do you handle conflict?
- What are your 5-year career goals?
Production Supervisor
Had two interviews with the Production and Maintenance Managers. Each interview was about an hour long and covered my entire work experience history. They briefly explained the company's requirements. It felt like they didn't have a clear job description. I was asked to take on all responsibilities for each department and handle issues related to shipping, logistics, maintenance, equipment, materials, employees, production schedules, preventative maintenance schedules, weekly work orders, production reports, and downtime recording. It seemed like the Supervisor role encompassed all the duties of a Plant Manager.
- Can you explain the differences in your experience working within the food industry versus the mining industry?
Project Manager
I applied mid-July 2010 and got a call back in 2-3 days. A recruiter called to see if I was still looking and available to interview. We set a date and time, and I got an email with the agenda. The interview day had four 1-hour 1:1 sessions with behavioral questions. Each interview was a full hour, and then I was immediately sent to the next one. Lunch was provided, and during lunch, I had another 1:1 interview. I was already burnt out from the previous interviews, and trying to eat while being drilled again was tough. The interviews were very drilling and dry, with interviewers sticking strictly to their questions. I got a little time to speak at the end, but there wasn't much conversation, mostly Q&A. Some interviewers weren't as friendly as the recruiter. By the end of the day, I felt like I'd just taken the SATs and was ready to leave. I followed up twice with the recruiter but never heard back, only that they were still deciding. The company felt old-fashioned and not open to change.

Coordinator, Corporate Sustainability
It was a 3-step process. First, HR asked generic questions about skills and experience from my resume. Then, a team interview focused on specific skills, knowledge, and projects, with both technical and interpersonal questions, mostly about the environmental field. Finally, a VP and team interview dug deeper into sustainability-specific topics.
- Can you describe your understanding of sustainability reporting standards?
