First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research.
Applications Support Analyst
Only 2 rounds of interviews. After getting the job offer, the salary was less than what they promised, and there was no PTO for the first year, which I had mentioned would be a deal breaker. We went back and forth, and the only raise was 5% salary. They said the rest was non-negotiable. I also had to work a half day every Saturday.
- Are you comfortable with client follow-ups and daily project management to ensure timeliness?
Inspection Supervisor
I started with a phone call with HR where we talked about Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research and the job basics. Then, we went over my resume, benefits, and what I required. About a week later, I went in for a second interview with the Hiring Manager that lasted about an hour. Everyone was really nice, and after I answered their questions, they answered mine.
- Can you tell me about your experience with inspection tools like CMM?
Clerical
It was a tough process with two interviews. The company is super selective and they said they don't waste time with people they think aren't smart. What they say about the job and management isn't really what it's like when you start working there. (Seriously, check out the reviews!)
- How would you respond to a given scenario?
Test Engineer
It was alright. Nothing too technical. They were just interested in my ability to work and use common sense. I wouldn't consider it a top-level interview. Overall, it was an easy process but below expectations.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Have you performed similar work in the past?
