Desktop Technician
It's a pretty laid back zoom call, won't take more than an hour. If you're a contractor, they might ask about your future aspirations at Westlake. Make sure to mention any certifications you have and your experience with systems like installing or imaging computers, laptops, and desktops.
- Can you work early mornings?
- Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
- What certifications do you hold?
Electrical Engineer
My interview experience with Westlake Corporation was really interesting. Before the main interview, they gave me a tour of their plant, which was cool because I got to see how they make their stuff and really understand their business better. This gave me good things to talk about in the interview. The interview itself was good. We chatted about my background and skills and how I could fit in. The interviewers were nice and knew their stuff, so I felt comfortable sharing my ideas. It was a unique experience that gave me a good feel for Westlake and their vibe.
- Can you tell me more about everything on your resume and how it applies to this job?
Customer Support Engineer
First, I got an email from HR staff and then they arranged a phone interview with me. In the HR's phone interview, the questions were easy to reply and just typical questions HR will ask. The second round was a department supervisor's phone interview. He asked some questions about my background and my past experience in the chemical or plastic industry. The whole interview process was not difficult if you prepared your background presentation very well.
- Can you tell me about your past experience in the plastic industry?
Process Operator
The interview process was long, but that's to be expected. I had an online panel interview with about 10 interviewers. They were all respectful and understanding that seeing 10 strangers on a screen can be scary. The questions were basic and not too difficult. The whole interview process took about two months from when I applied online. HR was very helpful throughout. They made the hiring and interview process as painless as possible.
- Can you describe a situation where you observed a coworker engaging in an unsafe action and explain how you handled it?
