It was about a 60 minute interview where they asked me a bunch of stuff, like why I wanted to work for Westgate and why I wanted to work in Japan. Then we talked about my CV and they asked me some English questions to see if I could teach.

I applied online and had to upload my CV, teaching certificates, and diploma. Then, I was asked to upload these documents again to their online interface. They also asked me about preferred positions and why I wanted to work with Westgate. I had to send photos to head office with a short deadline and was reminded that missing it would lead to rejection. References were collected before the interview, and I had issues providing them as I only had references from my current job of 5+ years. I had a Skype interview where a non-native English speaker typed my answers, and I couldn't see what was written. I had to reconfirm all my personal information again. Some teaching-related questions were asked, and a webcam was required for part of the interview. I'm unhappy with how much personal information I had to share multiple times, and it has led to increased spam. It also seems domestic applicants have an advantage. The company questioned why I wouldn't live in their expensive accommodation and would need to take a bus to the subway. This seems like another company in Japan trying to exploit foreigners.
