First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westerra Credit Union.
IT Application Administrator
I had an interview with the hiring manager for the department, and also with two managers from departments this role interacts with. It was the longest interview I've had, lasting almost two hours. They had a lot of questions covering background, hypothetical scenarios, and technical topics, given it's a technical position. The vibe was really relaxed and friendly, with a good amount of joking, but it was definitely a long session.

So, they ask the same questions no matter what job you're going for or if you've already done an interview. First, you always talk to someone from HR on the phone. Then, the hiring manager gets your answers and decides if they want to interview you. If they do and say yes, you'll interview with their manager. If that manager says yes too, HR will call you back.
- Could you share a weakness of yours?
Teller
Applied for an immediate teller opening at a local credit union and was contacted by a staffing agency. Had a short phone interview, then an in-person interview the next day. It was pretty simple and quick, asking about my background, customer service experience, and career goals, then they told me about the company and the job. The in-person interview took about 30-45 minutes. Got a call later that day with a job offer.
- Can you tell me about a time you didn't provide excellent customer service?
Teller
The interview process was quick. It started with a phone interview where they asked me basic questions about my experience and knowledge. Then, I had a face-to-face interview with two managers. They asked me questions about different situations and how I would handle them.
- What is your understanding of this credit union?
- Can you tell us about your background and what you know?
- Describe how you would manage various scenarios you might encounter in this role.
