My interview process had four parts. It started with a phone call from the HR recruiter. Then, I spoke with my potential direct supervisor. After that, I met with a future teammate I'd work with daily. The final step involved meeting several upper-level managers I would be supporting technically. The process was straightforward. Unlike most places, Western Pest Services followed through on their commitments. They returned calls, were polite and professional, and I quickly felt it was my top choice. Others hired around the same time for different roles said the same. They value honesty, respect, and dignity. I'm highly trained in a technical field and the job needs great people skills, so they were very picky. It wasn't an easy interview process, maybe harder than for other jobs. But their values are solid.

I went to the Parsippany, NJ office to meet with the Director of Sales. She's normally based in Atlanta but was visiting NJ to interview candidates for the role. The office was standard corporate. The interview was pretty straightforward, though the interviewer was a bit aggressive and seemed to be looking for employee weaknesses. She spent a lot of time going over my resume with me. It felt like a standard interview, possibly leading to a background check.

I applied online. The recruiter, Jeff Paklo, got in touch. Had a quick phone call, just to see if I could do the job. Then I talked to the Sales Manager. It was mostly chatting, not those weird situational questions. It went for about an hour. Finally, I interviewed with the Sales Director. They asked me some situational questions, like 'tell me about yourself' and 'where do you see yourself in 5 years?'. Got the offer after a drug test, which they always do at the end.

It started with a 45 minute phone interview, then there were two in-person interviews. It wasn't intimidating or intense at all. The interviewer was really easy to talk to and I didn't feel a lot of pressure.
