I had an in-person interview with three interviewers in a conference room at the University. it was a pretty easy and relax interview. now they use Zoom to host the majority interview meetings

I got a call from the chair asking if I was still looking for jobs, about four months after I applied. The chair's secretary called next, and we had a phone interview within two weeks. They asked some typical questions. Just two days later, the secretary called again to set up a campus visit, which was three weeks after the phone interview. The campus visit was really intense; I met with the provost, Dean, chair, HR person, and all the search committee members. I gave a 30-minute teaching demo on the time value of money and a one-hour research presentation. I got the job offer within a week. They didn't negotiate the salary at all; it was final.

The interviewers were nice when I first met them and they answered all my questions at the end, but they were quite reserved and hard to figure out during the interview, which made me really uncertain about how I did, if I did great or totally failed.

They were in a rush to hire someone. There was one phone call and then they made an offer. The pay was too low and the workload seemed really high, but it was an odd vibe because it seemed like a happy group.
