Product Manager
We had two interviews over Adobe Meeting Room. It felt pretty good, and they really went into detail about the job requirements. The questions didn't seem too tough.
- Tell me about your experience with adult learners.
- What's your background in education?
Product Manager
I applied online and then had an initial screen with a WGU recruiter. After that, my first interview was with a peer Product Manager. My second interview was with the Development Manager. Then, I had a third interview which was a panel with Design and UX. The fourth interview was with a Director, and the fifth was with a Manager. The time between each interview was a few weeks, and I had to reach out to the recruiter who is no longer responding to emails. Feedback was positive during the interview process; I really liked everyone I spoke to and bought into their mission. I felt like there's good work to be done, so I was considering a significant pay cut ($20k), but it's odd to invest four months in recruitment and then not have the basic decency to respond.
- How do you handle competing priorities?
- Which teams do you collaborate with?
- Can you describe your experience working with agile methodologies?
Product Manager
It took about 7 weeks to get through the interview process. There was a 90-minute tag team interview where I had to present for about 15-20 minutes. They said this was to help them make a decision, but 5 days later they said they weren't ready and I should take another offer I had. The recruiters were really disorganized.
- Can you give a 15-20 minute presentation about a past product or pitch a new product idea?
