The first step was a quick phone chat with a recruiter. They asked about my schooling, past jobs, and what salary I was looking for. The recruiter couldn't give me details like pay, working hours, or the schedule, which was a bummer. After that, I had an in-person meeting with the main physician assistant and a doctor. During this visit, I got to see the unit.

Behavioral Presentation

I first met with the hiring manager, then with their supervisor a couple of weeks later. The hiring manager seemed cool and supportive. The supervisor seemed arrogant and difficult at first, but chilled out after we chatted a bit. The supervisor asked for a portfolio of my work, which I sent over later. I got an offer a few weeks after but passed on it due to negative things I heard about the company culture and the pay wasn't great.

Behavioral Technical

The process is pretty straightforward. They'll ask you about your experience and how you'd handle different situations. They also want to know about your experience with their EHR, insurance, and authorizations. You'll talk to HR first, and then the practice supervisor or manager. If they decide to hire you, the whole thing takes about a month.

  • Can you tell me about your experience?
  • Describe how you would handle various situations.
  • What experience do you have with their EHR system?
