First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Westborn.
HR Manager
I went through a really long in-person interview that lasted over two hours. I met with several leaders and other people there. After sending thank you notes to everyone I met with, I didn't hear anything back about what happened next or if they had hired someone else. It's disappointing when you put in the time for an in-person interview and don't get a response, even if you aren't the right fit. It felt pretty unprofessional.
- Can you discuss your background and overall HR experience?
Vice President, Human Resources
I was invited directly for a 2+ hour in-person interview, with no initial phone screen. The interview itself was fine, and I sent thank-you notes. However, after two weeks of no contact, my follow-up for an update went unanswered. This lack of communication and follow-up after a lengthy in-person interview at the VP level was unprofessional. The job was relisted soon after, indicating they weren't moving forward with me, which is understandable, but basic communication is expected.
- Could you describe your background?
Prepared Foods
I put in my application online and then they gave me a call. After that I went in for an interview, but they didn't show me anything. I ended up starting a week later and they just threw me into the thick of it!
- Do you have any food preparation experience?
