First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at West Tennessee Healthcare.
Intern
It was a round table meeting with the managers. They just asked a bunch of questions to get a feel for your personality and how you would fit in with the core group of people there. If you have the interview, it mostly looks like the job is almost yours. Just do not say anything even mildly offensive and do not show any tattoos. There is a rule through the whole hospital about always having to cover up tattoos so if you have any on your arms wear long sleeves. Do your best to cover them up, after the interview when you come to work you would be required to put a bandage or some other cover over them.

Patient Access Representative
The head of admitting and the ER head, along with two supervisors, interviewed me simultaneously. The door was left open, and someone was bleeding profusely down the hall. The ER boss pointed this out, suggesting my lack of departure meant I might be suited for the role. They each took turns asking me questions and then candidly discussed the intense and potentially dangerous nature of the job.
- Do you enjoy working in a high-speed setting?
- Given the immediate situation, are you still interested in this position?
- Can you handle the emotional and potentially dangerous aspects of this job?
Registered Nurse
I was interviewed by a group of managers and staff nurses. They each took turns asking different questions. The process was easy for me because I am comfortable speaking with groups. After the interview, HR called me with a job offer.
- Tell me about how you handle issues with co-workers.
- Can you give me an example from your past experience?
- What makes you think you'd be good for this job?
Behavioral Health Case Manager
The hiring process was quick and easy. They asked typical questions. I received a job offer very fast. Everyone was really nice, especially Hannah from HR. She helped make everything go smoothly and made sure I completed all the required steps.
