First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital.
Licensed Practical Nurse
The interview process started great, but it's been three weeks of silence. I've called maybe once a week to check on decisions, but people are always in meetings or at lunch and I don't get any follow-up.
- What skills from your past work experiences would you apply in this position?
Registered Nurse
The interview process was really organized and welcoming by both HR and the nursing manager. Aim to arrive at least 10 minutes early. Be ready to answer practice interview questions and dress business casual. Being genuine, initiating conversation, and having good body language will go a long way! It's important to be familiar with basic emergency care protocols as they'll likely present case study questions.
- Can you share an instance where you assisted a colleague with a nursing skill or procedure and describe how you provided that help?
Administrative
It was a quick and expected interview process. The interviewer was extremely kind and asked lots of thoughtful questions. It started with a ten-minute phone call, then about 30 minutes in person on site. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
- Could you elaborate on your interest in a medical setting?
- Tell me about your prior interest in medicine.
- Have you ever spent time in a hospital?
Director of Communications
It was a nice and thorough interview process. I ended up doing Zoom interviews with twelve people, and everyone was friendly and professional. The questions they asked were pertinent, and they were pretty clear about what they expected the hired person to accomplish. I didn't have to deal with a ton of behavioral questions, which was a relief compared to other interviews I've had recently. Even though I didn't get an offer in the end, I still have nothing but positive feelings about the organization and its employees. I hope they do well.
- What would your team say about you as a manager, and how do you see yourself in that role?
