The interview process is pretty straightforward with easy questions. It starts with a request to talk about yourself. Most of the remaining questions focus on performance, asking how you'd handle specific scenarios.

The recruiter reached out to me after I applied and things seemed fine until the interview stage. However, I noticed many issues with the role. They are seeking a single HR person to manage both HR and training for 200 clinics, which requires in-person work. There are ongoing Employee Relations problems, no work-life balance, and a very low stipend considering the expectation of constant, 24/7 travel between clinics. I was also put down for my current role, with them saying their HRBP role is a 'true' HRBP role unlike mine. To top it all off, they never followed up and just relisted the job.

I was initially contacted about a contract role, which was presented as a loose offer rather than a concrete job. The original posting was for a remote position. After an initial HR phone call, I had four more Zoom meetings with senior staff. The entire interview process spanned two months and consisted of five interviews. It was a standard, straightforward conversation, but there was a significant lack of clear communication and direction from their side. It felt like they weren't sure what they were looking for, as the job description seemed to change, and leadership wasn't aligned on expectations or even which subsidiary the role would support. The HR/talent acquisition team had extremely poor follow-up and communication. Eventually, they mentioned wanting someone local. This team needs to realize they are also being evaluated. The whole experience felt like a cattle call, like they were just trying to find the cheapest candidate and strung me along for months. Despite multiple calls and video interviews, there was absolutely no follow-up, which was completely unprofessional and showed a disregard for my time and effort. Ultimately, the offer was for freelance work. It was a rude, disrespectful, mishandled, disorganized, and chaotic process.

The HR Rep reached out to see if I wanted to interview for the IT Project Manager role. We chatted about the job, and it sounded like a good fit for my skills, especially since it involves supporting healthcare, so we set up an interview with the Hiring Manager. That conversation went well. About 30 minutes after meeting the HM, the HR rep called back to schedule my second interview. I had that interview and felt it went well too. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back after that. I did try to contact the HR person I'd been talking to, but they never replied. It would be great to at least get an email update after two rounds of interviews, even if they decide to go with someone else.
