The interview questions were situational. Best to use the STAR method. They also asked questions around values and culture. The standard tell me about yourself was also asked. Time was given for the applicant to ask questions.

As an internal candidate, it was a bit simpler to get the interview since I already knew who to contact and could identify the hiring managers. I wasn't at all prepared for how disorganized the interview questions were and how inappropriate some were. It felt like the interviewer was trying to make me fail or asked questions that were unanswerable. Their video call quality was terrible, and I could only understand about two-thirds of what they said. The most out-of-line questioning happened after the standard questions, where they seemed to deliberately try to find out my age, which I believe is illegal.

This was a long interview process. It started with a video interview, then a phone screen, then an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, and finally a background check. The video part was a bit stressful, but manageable. You have 2-3 minutes to answer questions without any live feedback. Once a question starts, you can't pause or restart. The meeting with the hiring manager in person was informative. The HM was nice, but talked a lot about problems with previous employees and how the company is perceived negatively in the market. Be ready to listen for hints about the team's culture or any dysfunction.

I had two interviewers. The first one was easy to talk to. The second interviewer asked direct PMBOK questions and seemed more interested in teaching me than interviewing me. I have had my PMP for less than a year and answered based on my own PM experience and process, not strictly by PMI dictation. I didn't feel great after the second interview due to his questions and attitude. I've encountered people like him before and don't want to be in that situation again. It's possible I'm at fault for not brushing up on PMBOK, but the interviewer didn't give me a good vibe about the WellMed PMO.
